Cardiff City Council

Contract details

Ian Williams have worked with Cardiff City Council for over 20 years. Our directly employed Painters and Decorators live locally and fully understand the needs of the Residents. Many of our employees have worked for the city for over 10 years and this has improved the consistency of quality we have delivered. Cardiff City Council place at the heart of their service the Resident and therefore we have developed a range of methods to ensure that we communicate effectively before, during and after the work has been completed. Whilst working with this client we have added to the services provided to include kitchen modernisation programmes, voids and planned works. The current annual value for this work exceeds £2,500,000 per annum.

This expansion has enabled us to provide additional services to the Residents including community sponsorship programmes, charity support and open days. We have also formed a partnership with Tai-Pawb, Wales’ largest diversity support organisation. This has enabled us to create bespoke training and guidance notes on working in the diverse community of Cardiff. This has increased the level of Resident satisfaction and enabled all customers to become more engaged in the services we provide. We benchmark our activities with other suppliers to ensure that we continuously improve our services. We have also made commitments to use only locally based suppliers and we actively encourage local companies to apply to become a member of our supply chain.
