Kidderminster Town Hall - Heritage Decorative Painting

The centre piece of Kidderminster’s conservation area is the iconic Victorian Town Hall. It enjoys Grade II listed status and has very distinct and aesthetically pleasing architectural features, both internally and externally. To sustain its beauty for future generations, redecoration works were required to the internals of this prestigious building. Bagnalls successfully won the tender and completed the works to a very tight timescale of six weeks. The job was intricate and challenging and required precision planning. Specific consideration was required in terms of access, programming, application, execution and finish. We worked closely with our supply chain paint partners to deliver sympathetic colour palettes for this wonderful Victorian public building. Each colour was applied expertly to the delicate decor by our fully trained and professional team of decorators. Particular care had to be taken in the Music Room which features an original William Hill organ, with splendid baroque style casing, one of the first of its type to be installed in this country as well as delicate painting around the gaseliers that can still be seen on the ceiling area.
