Beatson Clarke - Warehouse Painting/Fire Damage
Following a fire which caused damage to vast areas of the internal facade of an 80,000sft warehouse, Bagnalls were contracted to carry out remedial spraying works to new and existing wall and ceiling cladding. Bagnalls worked closely with the Specifier to determine the best industrial coating system to be applied as conventional paints would not be effective and a two-coat system was recommended. To allow Beatson Clarke to have ongoing use of the warehouse whilst the painting works were being undertaken, Bagnalls used a method of sectioning the warehouse off using curtain polythene sheeting. This allowed the customer to rotate stored stock as the works progressed. We dedicated a team of operatives to the projected and completed one section per week for four weeks. To complete the project efficiently we hired in a special pallet moving machine, Mobile Elevated Working Platforms (MEWPs) a welfare unit and four fume extractors. Due to the scale and nature of the job, Bagnalls used specialist spraying techniques to apply the product and achieve a high quality, even finish. All operatives were trained in the use of the specialist access and application equipment and wore air fed masks throughout the duration of the contract.
