When it comes to new build painting contracts, it doesn’t get much bigger than this!

The Stoke Gifford Retirement Village is a £42 million project in Bristol for main contractor Galliford Try Partnership West and is the seventh retirement village Galliford Try Partnership has built for their client the ExtraCare Charitable Trust.

Just the scale of this project was eye watering with a staggering 261 homes, community hall, bar, bistro, library, gym and retail areas across 7 blocks, all requiring the highest-standard of finishing.

Finishes included the hanging of specialist high-quality wall coverings to restaurant and meeting areas and a range of specialist paint finishes throughout.

Challenges included working at height in the stunning central atrium and the daily scheduling and management of a site team of over 30 experienced commercial decorators and tradesmen.

A project of this size requires a collaborative approach to project management working in partnership with our customer to ensure that our works meet the quality standards required in the time scales specified.
