Project Overview

Pembroke & Bull were contracted by ETEC to carry out a full internal and external redecoration of the market area at Seven Sisters Market, including the front façade and internal spraying of soffits.

A Bit of History

Seven Sisters Market, also known as Latin Village, is a covered market in South Tottenham that occupies the site of the former Wards Department Store. Over time, it has become a cultural hub for London’s Latin American community — a lively space that celebrates local trade, colour, and diversity. Recognised as an asset of community value by the local council, the market holds an important place in the area’s heritage and identity.

Scope of Works

  • External redecoration of the market’s façade

  • Internal decoration across market halls

  • Spraying of soffits internally for a uniform, high-quality finish

  • Coordination with other trades to maintain programme and safety

Challenges & Solutions

The project ran on a tight programme, requiring efficient coordination and sequencing of works. Our team phased the works strategically and worked closely with site management and other trades to maintain progress without disruption — ensuring all deadlines were met while upholding our high standards of finish.

Results

Delivered within the 4-month programme, the completed works transformed both the internal and external appearance of the market. The refreshed aesthetic complements the vibrant cultural identity of the space, while providing a durable, clean, and professional finish. The client was delighted with the results and praised the quality, coordination, and reliability of the Pembroke & Bull team.
