HC-One, Orchards Care Home
In February 2022, WCR carried out a full refurbishment of HC-One Care Home, The Orchards, The works included flooring, interior design, furniture, lighting upgrade and full decoration works using the Dulux Scheme. All works were carried out on a live environment, and were completed in March 2022.
All products used were Dulux, nominated by HC-Ones interior designers. Dulux Satinwood was used for all woodwork, and Diamond Matt for all walls, no silk was used on this project.
The main paint for home was 30YY 68/024, bedroom feature walls 40YY 41/054, WC, shower & bathroom feature 30YY 58/082, WC, shower & bathroom main 30YY 78/035, Hallway Biscotti Feature 96YR 46/065 and Hallway Sage Feature 45 GY 55/052
Dulux Trade Diamond Matt to give longevity and toughness for the high traffic areas. Soft Greys to tone in with bright wallpapers from Sanderson.
The Orchards is a home for the elderly, frail and dementia residents, and WCR worked in a live environment for the duration of the job, whilst managing staff and visitors. Each area was phased out and managed as a Principle Contractor. The colour selection was made with the residents in mind, to create a warm and homely feel as opposed to a clinical one.
The work has made the residents location a more bright and inviting place. All of the residents and visitors have commented on how modern the unit looks. The colour scheme is calming and enhances the environment for all residents. Buttercup and Wisteria Lemon schemes using soft greys and warm lemons to evoke nature and brighten up the residents home, giving a base colour for all the soft furnishings and furniture.
The Home Manager said, "WCR has Good knowledge of working in a live care home and excellent contractors giving attention to detail and excellent finishes".
