We are delivering internal and external decorations and associated pre-paint repairs to SCC’s property portfolio over a 5-year period, consisting of high-rise/low-rise flats, general need housing, sheltered schemes and leasehold properties. Much of the portfolio has render and rough cast render which needs repairing and redecorating, with the internal decorations including the application of Class 0 fire protection coatings. We are completing repairs to timber doors, windows and fascias or replacing with uPVC.
We are directly delivering this project with our own local highly skilled painters and carpenters with 8-12 trade operatives on-site at any one time who are dedicated to the contract for its duration, led by Site Supervisor, Ashley Fleet, and overseen by Contracts Manager, Mark Bannon. Mark carries out twice weekly site visits to review the working arrangements, ensuring the works are being carried out in a safe manner and in line with site-specific risk assessments, method statements and Construction Phase Plan (CDM 2015).
We have regular communication with SCC throughout the contract, fostering a collaborative working relationship and holding regular site meetings for updates on progress and review of works. Monthly team meetings are also held to comprehensively review all aspects of the contract to ensure compliance with client specific criteria, including meeting resident needs, KPI targets, programme and quality standards.
We work closely with SCC on each phase of the works to establish any resident vulnerabilities or assistance required, which enables us to tailor our service to suit. Notification letters are sent to all residents giving appropriate notice of the works to be carried out along with the estimated duration. As part of our security protocol, we ensure that all operatives have received DBS clearance/safeguarding training prior to being permitted to undertake works on-site.
