Port of Tilbury - Cruise Terminal Redecorations

Bagnalls were delighted to be awarded the contract for internal redecorations to the Grade II listed London Cruise Terminal. The terminal is rich in history as well as being the docking point for London’s cruise tourists. The project entailed various aspects of preparation and redecoration throughout the terminal. To commence works we removed a suspended tiled ceiling to expose the original, ornate barrel ceiling. High level sky light repairs were needed, which were accessed safely from a man-safe anchoring system temporarily installed on the flat roof. Bagnalls undertook preparation and redecoration of the central barrel ceiling and square domed corridors by applying a 2 coat Dulux specification in white matt emulsion. We protected the carpets throughout and accessed the higher levels from cherry pickers. There were also extensive lower level works including, pre-paint repairs and redecorations, timber boxing in of exposed wiring, refurbishment of dated stained timber to a modern grey Dulux specification and glazing repairs and refurbishment of 20 original steel-framed Crittall windows.
