The requirements

The Facilities Manager at Shakespeare School was looking for a reliable and high quality painting company to brighten up the external masonry painted panels. The panels were finished in various colours which were showing natural signs of colour deterioration from water damage. Mitie demonstrated through competitive tender our ability to provide an outstanding service and deliver high quality finish.

How did we help

Shakespeare school is located close to the centre of Leeds, it was built in the last 10 years with modern architectural design and features throughout. We have an office in Leeds and provided local labour to carry out the works.

We selected Gliddens Endurance Pliolite due to its quick drying properties, longevity and excellent durability.

The results

The school is open to community staff and pupils during the summer holidays; although the number of attendees was reduced we still carried out the works with no disruption to their daily activities.

The Facilities Manager was delighted with the service provided and the much needed injection of colour around the school, she said “I would like to pass on my thanks for a job well done and I would certainly want Mitie here again for any future work”.

"Two of Mitie decorators have been working on the external areas of the Primary School and some internal skirting and architraves. Whilst this work is probably part and parcel of their normal day to day job, from my point of view they have cracked on with whatever has been needed, they haven’t had to be watched over or checked.  They can be relied on to do the work. Their work has been brilliant, especially the colours to the front of the primary school which looks fantastic.
