What was our client looking for? Cardiff Community Housing Association are part of the Integrate Consortium who manage over 24,000 properties; over 2,600 properties belong to Cardiff Community Housing Association, across 11 local authorities, ranging from family homes, apartments, blocks of flats and bungalows.

How did we help? Mitie were awarded the 4 year cyclical painting and repair contract after proving we were not only the best value but a contractor with vast experience in working to high standards with a clear understanding of social housing requirements and expectations.

The main works undertaken are internal and external redecorations and repairs within various types of property including sheltered accommodation, communal areas, offices, special needs properties and high-rise flats.

We take health and safety very seriously and all staff working on this contract undergo Disclosure Barring Service checks (previously CRB) prior to working on a building with vulnerable people as residents. We strive to create a culture with a strong safety focus were all our people take responsibility for health and safety.

The results? Since the commencement of the contract in 2010, Cardiff Community Housing Association has been impressed with our standards and the way in which our staff perform on site.

We are currently liaising with Cardiff Community Housing Association regarding working on their void properties due to the success of this contract.
