Lucas was appointed to carry out both front and back of house decorations for the most luxurious new hotel to be built in central London in a very long while.
The new Bulgari Hotel & Residences, London is situated in the heart of Knightsbridge, close by Harrods, Harvey Nichols and the designer stores of Brompton Road and Sloane Street. It occupies a historic position on the site of the former Knightsbridge Palace Hotel, built in 1911 and renamed ‘The Normandie Hotel’ in 1937.
The work entailed the complete decoration of all bedrooms and executive suites including silk wallcoverings, as well as back of house areas and management offices.
Lucas is building a strong reputation in the hotel sector and has recently completed projects at the Savoy Hotel, the Brooklands Hotel at the historic motor racing circuit in Surrey, and at the new Premier Inn and Holiday Inn/Staybridge Hotels at Westfield Stratford City.
