Mental Health Care UK Ltd (MHC UK) - Newton House
MHC UK operate 21 facilities across North Wales and the North West of England. Bagnalls were tasked with redecorating the communal areas of Newton House, Independent Hospital, in Blackpool. Newton House provides rehabilitation and treatment to individuals living with complex and enduring mental health conditions. It cares for 21 male individuals over the age of 18.
Bagnalls with the support of Dulux Trade Paints, provided colour mood boards. The colours were carefully chosen to give a warm and comforting feeling to the residents and staff within the hospital. The paint which was used on the walls was Dulux Diamond Eggshell, which allows staff to easily wipe clean any marks or dirt. The stain resistant wall coating is perfect for communal areas in busy environments.
Prior to any work commencing, a thorough site induction was provided, by MHC UK, to our DBS checked painting operatives, outlining the procedures and safety instructions whilst working in the hospital environment. The site operatives were then briefed on our bespoke risk assessment and method statement and refreshed with our policy on customer care.
The work consisted of redecoration to all communal areas, corridors, staircase, kitchen, dining room, office space, lounge, drug store etc. The work for our operatives was challenging due to the sensitive nature of the individuals who live at the hospital, as the hospital continued to operate as usual.
“Very professional, outstanding work carried out. Excellent time keeping, good understanding of the environment, flexible and polite” MHC UK House Manager.
